The Campaign to Save the National Glass Centre is holding a public meeting with the Leader of Sunderland City Council
and you are invited
on
Wednesday 19th November 6pm-8pm
at
Sunderland City Hall, SR1 3AA
Members of the campaign have had several key political meetings recently, including with the North East Mayor. The Council is now more receptive to ideas on how to save the National Glass Centre and the campaign has planned a public meeting with the Leader of Sunderland City Council, Cllr. Michael Mordey, to discuss the future of the National Glass Centre and glassmaking in Sunderland.
If you’re close enough to go, please do. Not only is the National Glass Centre a significant cultural institution that promotes both the heritage of glass making in the North East and some of the best national and international contemporary art glass, it’s one of the places where our Northern branch exhibits their work and where several of our members trained as glass artists. A campaign well worth supporting.
