Membership
Membership of The Glass Society is open to all individuals who share a passion for glass. With several hundred members from across the UK and around the world, the Society brings together a diverse community united by their interest in glass.
Our members include collectors, museum professionals, researchers, dealers, auctioneers, glassmakers, decorators and other enthusiasts. Many distinguished scholars and collectors contribute their expertise to the Society’s publications and actively participate in its events.
As a member of The Glass Society, you will be part of a network that fosters connections, encourages the exchange of knowledge and promotes the study of glass from all periods, places and forms. The Society aims to keep members engaged and informed about the ever-evolving study of glass through publications, events and other initiatives.

Glass Matters
Members receive our printed copy of the magazine, published three times a year, featuring fully illustrated articles on a wide range of topics from glass engraving to studio glass and from Roman to contemporary glass, including profiles of glass designers and individual collectors. Available only to members.
The Journal of the Glass Society
The Journal, published every three to four years, is an invaluable resource for anyone passionate about glass, offering unique, scholarly perspectives and historical research on glass making and techniques. Available only to members. Samples of both Glass Matters and Journals are available to view on the homepage.
Chance to publish your own articles
Interested in writing, or simply want to share information on your collection or research? Becoming a member enables you to write articles and publish them in our magazine.
Meetings & Events
Members enjoy 7 to 8 talks a year on a wide variety of subjects and events held around the UK and abroad. They include visits and study days at museums, private collections and studio workshops.
